*ROCKING MOM MODE IN NYC, EL MUSEO DEL BARRIO.

Feeding a child's brain is just as important as feeding their tummies! so with that said, One Saturday afternoon the kids and I decided to visit, El Museo Del Barrio on 104th & 5th Ave. It was Family Saturday filled with Arts & Crafts using fresh seasonings, Storytelling, and I briefly viewed a great mixed media exhibit:). After our trip we took a long stroll thru the beautiful Central Park where the kids had a chance to run freely and burn off some energy. Take advantage of what the city has to offer, Expose your children to their surroundings, visit our cities Museums, Parks & Gardens! www.elmuseo.org

*EXAMINE YOUR CLOTHING NEEDS BY CASSANDRA ROJO

Hello everyone! in my own mission to organize my closet i've learned some things I'd like to share, our mission... Creating the perfect Closet!!
Your wardrobe should reflect your lifestyle so sit back and ask yourself,
1. what do I spend most of my time doing?
2. Where do I spend most time doing it?
3. What type of clothing do I need for these activities?
For Example:
-Work attire: What's suitable for the type of work you do, is it a business or casual setting?
-Parents: Comfort, multi-functioning and storage space to carry essentials are a MUSt!
-Social life: Black tie affairs or trendy casual
-Sports, outdoors, Entertaining, Traveling & Beyond.... Where do you spend your time?

Think of this by day, week, season then you can begin to edit your wardrobe, see where your gaps are and create a shopping list that will help solve the age old problem "I have a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear!!!
Also remember to be a smart shopper, when purchasing a new item think if it can be used to create different looks, how can you remix the piece.
Lay out clothing, try different combinations and make each piece in your closet serve a purpose;)
Good luck loves, Cassandra;) PS use this pic of stylist Rachel Zoe for inspiration.

*SHOPBOP IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE WEBSITES

Shopbop.com is one of my favorite websites. Not only do they mix high to low end and designer labels they also feature amazing Lookbooks, Trend reports, editors' picks, how to make 5 outfits out of 15 pieces and beyond! it's great inspiration to try different combinations and trends. (they also offer free shipping and returns, read details) Enjoy;)
